My week of London bikeshare, on a map
October 6th, 2011 at 6:24 pm ETBecause I was curious, I plotted all* my London bikeshare trips from the past week onto a Google map, just to see what it would look like. Here it is, and also embedded below. I didn’t plot the routes (God, that would be impossible), just a rough straight line from station to station, with direction indicated in the comments.

As you can see, lots of short trips. What this map doesn’t show is the 3 or 4 times I had to schlep from station to station to station looking for a free bike (or, in one case, a free dock). But still there hasn’t been a single destination that bikeshare didn’t serve just fine.
I’ll finish out the map after my final day (tomorrow)…
*By “all” I mean “all the trips for which I didn’t misplace the trip record,” which is all but one or two. And I rounded the times for ease of entry.
